Studying by distance learning, gives you the flexibility to combine work life and any other responsibilities you may have, with gaining your chosen qualification. Our Tutors are here to answer any questions you may have and offer advice when needed. They also provide valuable feedback on assignments submitted to ensure you are always on track and help you onto the next stage.

Universal IGCSE and A Level Questions

The courses that we offer are flexible which means you are able to work through them at your own pace.
 
When you login to the online portal, you will have access to your course(s) which will include resources, assignments and practise exam papers. Assignments and mock papers will be marked and graded by your tutor. You will also be able to message your tutor and our support team as many times as you need to through the messaging facility on the portal. In addition, you will also be able to visit our online e-Library which has a large range of books, search for exam centres and see the dates and times for your exam series.
All centres charge different amounts for exams. Therefore, it is best to check with the individual centre. As a rough estimate, we would say exams cost approximately £100-£150 GBP per written paper.
You can enrol online via the website. You would need to click onto the subject that you would like to take and select the ‘enrol now’ button. This will add the course to the basket and when you are ready, you will be able to go through to the checkout.
 
Alternatively, you can also make payment by bank transfer or we can send you a direct payment link to enrol. If you require any of these, please just let us know.
 
Please note that you do not need to enrol onto the course(s) by a certain date. Our enrolments are flexible meaning you can enrol whenever you are ready to begin the course.
We don’t currently offer monthly instalment plans to learners, however you may be able to spread the payments over a certain amount of months with Paypal. This will all depend on your circumstances and where you reside permanently.
 
In order to see if Paypal is an option, please add the course to the basket and go through to the checkout to see.
 
Alternatively, we can accept debit card, credit card and bank transfer.

We are also partnered with Tutors and Exams who offer various exam centres over the UK.  As we are an approved learning partner, you may be eligible for a discount on your exam fees.  Feel free to get in touch with Tutors and Exams to find out the fees they charge.

There is no set start date for our courses. Therefore, you can enrol anytime and begin your studies straight away.

For predicted grades, you would need to complete a range of assignments and sometimes practise mock papers too.  From this work, your tutor will be able to determine your grade and pass this onto the college, university or employer you are applying to.

We can provide recommendation letters or references to your chosen college, university or employer.  We just ask that you complete some of the work on the portal so that your tutor can explain how you are as a learner.

IGCSE

All our IGCSE courses provide you with two years support and access. This doesn’t mean however that you must take the course over two years.
 
Some learners wish to complete their courses sooner than two years.  You could therefore fast track the course and complete it much quicker. There would be no additional fee to take the course on a fast track basis.
 
If you require any of the courses for longer than two years, please let us know and we can best advise you.
 
As a rule, the recommended study hours for an IGCSE course is 130 hours. That is time spent studying, not completing assignments and not including revision.

For IGCSE Mathematics, Edexcel offers a foundation tier or a higher tier.  Each tier provides access to the following grades:

Edexcel IGCSE Mathematics 9-1 grading system

  • Foundation tier (Grades 5-1)
  • Higher Tier (Grades 9-4)

With Cambridge, they offer a core or extended assessment.  Each assessment provides access to the following grades:

Cambridge IGCSE Maths 9-1 grading system

  • Core Assessment (Grades 5-1)
  • Extended Assessment (Grades 9-3)

Cambridge IGCSE Maths A*-G grading system

  • Core Assessment (Grades C-G)
  • Extended Assessment (Grades A*-E)

We can cater for all tiers and if there is a certain grade you are working towards, please let us know on your enrolment application when you sign up.

For IGCSE Science (Biology, Physics and Chemistry) subjects you will not need to complete a physical practical endorsement.   Here are some further details on the individual awarding bodies.

Edexcel Biology, Chemistry and Physics

Edexcel have two externally written examination papers in order to achieve the IGCSE qualification.  There is no option with Edexcel to take a physical practical endorsement.

Cambridge Biology, Chemistry and Physics

Cambridge have three externally written examination papers.  For the third paper, learners will take the paper titled ‘alternative to practical’ rather ‘practical test’. Therefore, they will not need to take physical practicals.

You can fast track IGCSEs with our college.  We do not charge extra for this service and you will just need to let us know once you have enrolled so that we can notify our tutor support team.

If you are planning on sitting exams within the next 4-5 months, we recommend you contact your chosen exam centre to ensure that there are still places available and that there are no late exam deadline fees to be paid.

There is no formal age for the IGCSE course and therefore anyone can take them. We have learners from age 13 through to retired people taking our IGCSE courses.

We can offer you a 10% discount when you enrol onto more than one IGCSE course.  If you apply the code ‘IGCSE10’ on the checkout page once all IGCSEs have been added to the basket, this amount will be deducted from the total.

A Level General Questions

All our A Level courses provide you with two years support and access. This doesn’t mean however that you must take the course over two years. You could fast track the course and complete it much sooner. There would be no additional fee to take the course on a fast track basis.
 
In order to fast track your A Level course, just choose the exam series you would like to sit exams in.  It is best to go for an exam series where there are at least five months until the first exam.  Otherwise, you may find it hard to secure an exam place with your chosen exam centre.
 
once you enrol onto the course, you will just need to state on the enrolment form which exam series you are working towards.  This information will then be passed onto your tutor.
 
If you require any of the courses for longer than two years, please let us know and we can best advise you.

The A Levels we offer are the same as what you would achieve in College. They are official qualifications which carry UCAS points for University. Please note that you will still need to check the individual course requirements at your chosen University to ensure that you meet the criteria.

If you opt to take the practical endorsement for the AQA Science A Level, you will need to arrange and pay for the written and practical exams separately with an AQA registered centre. With the A Level Science Course we provide, you will cover the full specification including the practical part. If you feel you need some ‘hands on’ experience with the practical element, some exam centres will allow you to go in beforehand to practise. This would however be their decision as to whether they offer this service.

With most Cambridge A Levels, there is an exam series in June and November.  One exception being Classical Studies which only has one exam series in November.  If you need to know exact exam dates, we would need to know which exam series you are looking to sit exams for along with the country you will be taking exams in.

The set texts for the CAIE A Level English Literature course will depend on the year you are looking to complete the exams.  Please could you let us know this information so that we can find out the texts for you.

Functional Skills

Functional Skills ICT is currently in the process of being replaced with Digital Skills, however we haven’t been given a start date for Digital Skills as yet and this has been unknown for a while.
